I purchased this because I dislike small gas engines. With my hybrid truck I was able to run this at my off grid cabin and split all the wood for winter without the headaches of small gas engines. It’s strong and works well. Some of the bolts are cheap and I did have to straighten a frame issue that occurred in shipping. But overall I would purchase it again if I needed a new one.

The machine works great! There is high assumed level of knowledge about hot to use effectively and safely, because the how-to documentation is just not much. But for an experienced person, it's a no brainer. This thing is not for your village idiot types, but it it safer than swinging a sledge or axe. Operation is simple and the two handed activation is a great safety feature for those prone to only being able to count to nine. Very quiet and acceptable for indoor use. Works fine on a 12 amp breaker line, with an extension chord. I imagine with heavy use or age it may require a 15 amp. PACKAGING is completely inadequate for the variables of home delivery. The box and packing material were were completely destroyed, but the unit is fine. An engineer would say that proves the packaging is excellent, but I have no idea how there was no damage or missing parts. If you order this and there is damage upon delivery, I would take pictures before opening the box, in case there is an issue. Most of the machine is nearly indestructible, but the electrical control box is very vulnerable in shipping, as packaged.

Arrived quick but packaging was jankec up a bit. It is a heavy box. More than 70 lb for sure. Looked to have been re taped closed as well. However everything was in the box and no product damage. Works well on large straight grain pcs, big knots can defeat it but for electric, feel it delivers tne full 5tons. Nice and compact in size but heavy, wheels are easy to install and essential for movng it around. All an all happy with it and wish i'd purchased long time ago...

I was excited to get this wood splitter. I received it with the box in pretty rough shape. I thought oh that can happen with shipping. My husband opened it and plugged it in. It would just trip the breaker. Pulled it into better lighting and saw that it had been used. You can clearly see the marks. We never did get it to even come on. We are in the process of returning it. Will update later

This log splitter works really well and makes splitting logs a breeze. I prefer this over the loud gasoline options for running in our garage, not to mention the gas versions go for 3x as much. It’s nice to have it plugged in and have the power on demand vs an engine constantly running when you are splitting.Cons- (We’ve only used this on 4 or 5 occasions splitting roughly 50 logs at a time) I wish I would have bought the model with the stand but we can add that later if we need to.PS. Remember to open the air breather valve - as I was reading reviews it seems like not everyone understands this concept on electric log splitters.

I like the easy operation but it does not split the full size logs as it advertised ( 10 inches wide by 20 inches long) It works well on logs 6 inches or less, but not much larger than that. I am splitting mesquite and some oak as well as pine.

I do good but this made things so much easier. We are older and hubby has had hand surgery. Trying to work smarter and not harder - this fits that bill!

This has been a life saver for me and my body. I cut all my firewood ( I have a small stove) with it and worked like a charm. My only regret is that, I wish I had bought the stand with it. It is very low to the ground to work the two controls that must be used at the same time. ( I have figured a way to do so using a long handle for the push button and my foot for the lever) so I can operate it while standing.) But the stand would definitely be a great addition. It has good sized wheels on one end and the handles in the opposite making it fairly easy to move around. It’s naturally nit as fast or powerful as a gas operated and larger ton. But it does what is need and does it well, cuts a 10” round, and I was splitting hard maple, red fir and pine. Maple is knotty and very hard when dry/ seasoned I could not split by hand, some maneuvering depending on shape and size and I managed to get it all split on this.
