Bene CasaCeramic 9 Piece Espresso Set Including Metal Stand - 4 Espresso Cups (3oz) and 4 Saucers - Stain Resistant Glaze

I'm so glad that I didn't let some of the negative reviews keep me from buying this set. I love the way it looks sitting next to my espresso machine, that extra little touch that makes it look less utilitarian and more home-like; that alone almost makes it worth buying. But they're also the perfect size and, thankfully, a lot tougher than they look. I dropped one in my porcelain sink when I was washing it, and it hit hard enough to ricochet off the bottom and side. I still can't believe it didn't break, but there isn't so much as a chip anywhere on it. I did find a couple of little rough spots on the bottoms of two of the cups, little bits of paint that had collected and not been buffed down after they dried, but they came right off with hardly any effort and wouldn't have affected anything anyway. The entire set was packed very well for shipping, with cardboard between each saucer and bubble wrap around and between everything else. The stand had one foot that was just slightly uneven, but a tiny push with my thumb evened it right up. Bottom line, even with tiny flaws this is a functional and adorable set that is well worth the price. I was worried I would find bigger problems like a few other reviews mentioned, but its so inexpensive that I decided to risk it. I'm so glad I did!

Recently purchased this set to accompany and expresso machine I bought for my son-in-law. Such a cute set that does not demand a lot of counter space. They use this set every single day and it's the perfect size and dishwasher safe.

I ordered this set for my husband because he was looking for a smaller mug for his DeLonghi espresso maker. The cups are the perfect size to fit underneath! They are stylish and the metal rack is sturdy. We have it sitting on our counter next to the DeLonghi. It fits underneath our top cupboards with no issue. The item arrived quickly and was packaged better than anything I've ever recieved! There was the original package (with the cups and saucers wrapped in tissue) that was wrapped in bubble wrap inside a box that was also wrapped in bubble wrap and the outer package! No chips or broken anything! Very happy :-D

I personally rely heavily on reviews when purchasing anything, and I definitely should have listened to some of the other reviews about this product. It got a star at all only because I had to choose at least 1 to write a review. DO NOT BUY. Some of the other reviews said that the cups were broken. I figured that it was just bad luck, and that the chances of it happening to me were slim. ALL BROKEN. Not even just chipped. But completely unusable. A total waste of time.

This set is ridiculously charming at first glance! I originally had a yellow set from Rome that had half the cups missing after years of use, so I finally decided to purchase a new set! I have been using it since August 2012 and it is still holding up very well. My boyfriend and I use the cups at least four days a week. With him being half-Italian and me having lived in Italy for nine years of my life, "café e biscotti" is something done almost regularly.Initially, when it first arrived, I wasn't impressed. It looked cute but I immediately noticed flaws like the tiny cracks under the saucers that were glossed over by the craftsman as well as small lumps on the top part of some saucers that could have been smoothed over prior to drying and glossing. Those were two workmanship flaws I noticed when I opened the box. I had little faith in the paint job and thought it would scratch off when washed. The stand itself is really nice and a space-saver in a small, humble place like mine.I know that by the previous explanation, you may not see the correlation to my 4-star rating but I promise you- there is. It is now January 2014 and I am happy to say that it has passed the test of time. All six cups and saucers are still intact and the paint hasn't faded, chipped or worn off. I docked off one star because I have seen better sets. This set isn't by all means perfect, but for the price I paid it was well worth it :-)Overall- It's cute, functional and sturdy; all for a fair price.
