Off to a rough start
The first box I received only had one peg in it. Amazon was great with the exchange and another box arrived, this time with two pegs. Installation is fairly straight forward, but there are a few things to watch. Since the peg screws onto the bolt, it is easy to twist it while riding. This is a pretty big design flaw, but so far some locktite has seemed to fix this. Another issue is that the clamps themselves twist under load. Only fix I have for this is to tighten until it doesn't happen. I'm sure these aren't high quality materials, so we'll see how long they last under intense stress. My last issue is the fitment of the pegs for raising and lowering. One peg came nearly perfect, maybe a little tight, straight from the box. The other peg is very loose and will fall down on its own sometimes. You can tighten a bolt and nut to limit the play, but while it worked well on one peg, it doesn't seem to do anything on the other.I knew that these pegs weren't going to be the best due to their price, but with a little work to remedy some small issues I think they can be a great value. Just don't go into it thinking these will be as good and easy as $200 pegs.

Just kind of okay.
Okay these are cheap. That doesn't mean they are trash, just know what you are getting. You need to invest in a couple of metric M10 / .125 flared hex nuts to make the installation go easier. Another reviewer made a video showing how to use these extra nuts. Without them you'll find getting these tight enough to be a terribly hard thing to do. Even with the nut to help tighten the clamp I felt as if I was going to break the main bolt before I got it tight enough to lock in place. I'm 100% sure without the nut on the clamp, I'd never get it as tight as needed. See the attached pics for the tools I used and mounting pictures. I mounted mine to a 2007 Suzuki V Strom DL1000 to the 1" Givi motor guards. What I don't like is the finish which kept flaking off with the wrench work. I also don't like the tiny screws that hold the equally cheap plastic inserts on the foot rest. As with anything I put on my bike I use thread lock to make sure stuff don't fall off. That means I put some thread lock on the tiny screws, and when I went to put them back in place, the plastic on threads on the inserts snapped off. The good news is the inserts serve no purpose, so I removed both. No loss. What I like is these are heavy duty. They do what they are intended to do. I'll use them. They are basic, but they seem to work fine. See the pics for the tools I used to attach these, and how they look, and how I intend to use them. If you have questions feel free to ask.

Good but need to buy nut and lock washer.
These pegs will not work if installed as intended. I have a 1" crash bar and this is what you need to do. Only use the small band(tried to use both together and tighten with peg block but you cannot compress the bands together enough and you might even strip the peg block which is aluminum). Buy 2 SS nuts (10-1.25 metric) and 2 SS lock washers. Now mount the proper single band with the tapered rings on the crash bar with the lock washer and nut and tighten to a very high level. If not tight enough they will slip. Now screw in the peg till it bottoms out on the nut. You may have to rotate the tight screw some to get the peg in the right orientation so this is the only difficult part (a little trial and error you might say). The peg tightens against the nut and should be enough to make everything tight but I recommend you add blue locktite to be sure.

Mine don't move at all with modification
Tried several big name, big dollar highway pegs on my SW Motech (V-strom) and Givi (Super Tenere) crash bars. All would rotate under weight of my boot. Couldn't possibly get these to not move so I drilled through the collar and crash bar, tapped for M6x1.0 and inserted a stainless M6x1.0x16 screw in each one. No ill side effects so far, couple thousand miles, couple offroad drops. Worked great on the V-strom/SW Motech, compromised a bit of comfort to find usable placement on the Super Tenere/Givi (really wide and weird angles).

Brilliant for the Price
Bought on a whim for a two week, 4400 mile delivery of a rented Suzuki V-Strom from Anchorage to Long Beach and were possibly the BEST 21 bucks spent on the whole trip, once I came up with the Mark III version. See below.................A) the V-Strom must have the factory (or equivalent) crash bars to mount to. Even then, they are NOT designed for the 7/8" tubing of these bars (they fit 1" and 1 1/8" only without modification) so you will need (8) lock washers per peg to allow the mild steel mounting straps to deform and grab the 7/8 O.D. Then they are solid. This was my Mark II mod.B) the resultant angle only allows the small tip on the end to catch the edge of your boot; there is no flat platform to actually REST your arch on like an true highway peg WHATSOEVER, *until* you drill the aluminum and sink a #8 jackscrew to adjust them to a useful angle. This is the Mark III version. Then, and ONLY THEN, are they a proper "highway peg". And they are VERY comfy for my 32" inseam, yielding a completely straight-legged, relaxed posture when desired.Recommended, if you do these mods.

Easy install and strong
I installed these on my 2012 Super Tenere with 1 inch Touratech bash bars, this is a real basic install and you don't need any specialize tools or skills. They look great and fold easy, with proper slack bolt adjustment there is no rattling and pegs stay folded up when not in use. I did not use any aftermarket mounting bolts , washers or loktite and they have not moved at all. The matt finish is pretty rad also matching the bike perfect. I don't care if they got scratched up a bit during install because they are going to get beat up any way by my boots road trash and trail riding. Happy trails and have fun.

Cheap price, cheap product, poor design.
You have to tighten the pivot bolt enough to squeeze everything together, or live with the pegs rattling. This means the pegs are stiff to fold, which is also the only way you can get the pegs to stay up. There's no spring or detent.I mounted these on my crash bars. I'm very mechanically capable. There's no way to get the clamps tight enough to resist the torque of my feet resting on the pegs.

Best bang for the buck $$$
Illium makes BMW K1600 highway footpegs which cost $500+ cad. This cost me less than $50 cad, with 2 nuts(M10x1.25, $1.50 from Canadian Tire)Illium footpegs looks nice and better quality for sure BUT I don't think it is $500+ worth.

They are ok.
Would have been nice if they had instructions and they are a little tricky to install. I have to mess with it a whole lot to get them to work without moving.

fit well
just remember to discard the clamp ring you dont need (ie dont use both together).feel sturdy, didnt move even after a couple hours use. blended in nicely with my black crash bars.I put a layer of electrical tape on the bars before installing clamps. Also used blue locktite on all the fasteners.
