Hunk O' Junk
Take notice on how this is not even pictured on an actual toilet. It is very unstable. My child was sitting down and I wiped their bottom and accidentally got fecal matter on my hand. So not wanting to accidentally smear it on them I washed my hand in the bathroom sink. The same bathroom sink. It was in that blink of an eye, they tried to get off, it slipped, they ended up head first in the toilet, the potty device slipped out and perfectly trapped their neck, head down, luckily the water was low. Yes it was put together right. No we dont use it roughly. And I was supervising just 18 inches away. This is not even about money, just dont waste your buying this hunk of junk.

3 issues: mediocre stability, steep steps, poor handles
If you want a cute potty training seat, this is for you. If you want one that’s functional, I recommend you keep looking. There are three obvious issues with this seat that I noticed within 5 minutes of putting it together. It makes me wonder how much product testing they did with this, as I feel like these are relatively easy fixes that would make this a great seat.1. It is not very sturdy. Now, it’s not going to fall off the toilet, but it does wobble enough to make a toddler weary of climbing it. If the seat had a hook or clamp on the underside to attach it more firmly to the real toilet seat, that would help so much.2. The steps are too steep. We have a standard toilet, and there is very little clearance from the toilet seat to the second step. There isn’t even enough room for my 2 year old to put her feet securely on that step to then be able to turn around and sit on the potty safely. If the steps came out just a little farther (even like an inch), that would help.3. The handles to grab onto are very small and are solid. Larger, open handles that would allow a toddler to firmly grip them would’ve been a good idea.I am returning the seat and hope to find something better soon.

Not the best option for potty training.
After going through potty training and trying both this ladder /seat in one vs. just a step stool and travel seat, I gotta say this wasn’t the best option of the two. The ladder isn’t quite the right height for the toilet for one and my toilet is totally standard. Secondly the child can’t put this on the toilet themselves without pinching fingers or doing it so wrong they’re libel to slide off climbing up. Just buy a stool and a nice travel seat and be done with it. Also buying a stool and travel seat will give you the ability to use it elsewhere. This has one place it can be used, at home, with your help, and it’s a total pain in the a$$ to use.Plus this is huge and in the way!

The BEST Potty Training tool. You won’t need any others.
Let’s start with the one and only con: it doesn’t have the option to add one extra step. Now to the Pros: it’ll fit any size toilet! Kids love it so much more than the ones on the floor. Your child won’t fall through! The seat is so comfy and doesn’t get cold like hard plastic does. Your kid will love to climb it. It has hand rails at the top for balancing and safety. It flexes so the angle is adjustable. It truly is ALL IN ONE. You can choose the height of the middle step (but really two small steps would’ve been better). You can put it above or below the built in sitting seat of the toilet. It doesn’t flop around. It’s very stable. It comes with a complete extra set of tools and screws! This is amazing in and of itself. However, a nice little round mini step could really make it perfect.Tbh: I wish I would’ve just bought this from the beginning instead of trying all the cheaper options first. It made potty training so much easier and faster. We made more progress in one day than in two months. Skip straight to this. Don’t mess around with seats or seat covers, floor based potties, etc

Potty Training Goodness
Our son loves to mimick us - do as we do. Going to the bathroom is no different. This potty seat gives him the opportunity to learn how to go to the bathroom very similar to how us potty-trained people do! & when an someone needs to use the toilet other than him, the ladder & seat can be picked up and easily collapse to lay against the wall until they’re done. I wish it was more “gripy” on the bottom, but it does its job.

Easy to set up and set aside.
This has been great for our 2 year old. Hes able to easily climb up to the toilet as hes trying it out. He has some difficulty climbing back down but hes also pretty new at it so I'm sure he'll adjust. It was easy to set up and it folds up to set to the side of the toilet.

Buy at your own risk
I have a pretty standard toilet, when I put this on it doesn’t fit properly even at its highest height. It leaves a gap between the seat and steps, I can’t trust myself to let my daughter go to the bathroom alone in fear she might get her finger caught while climbing up... I’ve also tried with the toilet seat up-to shorten the height of the toilet but it still has a gap and if I push the seat all the way back, the steps go under my toilet seat which leaves no room for my kid to even step on the steps... cute color but that’s about it...

Not for elongated oval toilets
I bought this for potty training my then 2 1/2 year old. At first, she was very excited for her "potty present," but that excitement soon vanished. Our primary toilet is an elongated oval in shape. This seat fits onto the toilet seat well enough. There's a small gap at the back, but it doesn't affect the functionality of this device. However, the elongated oval hangs over the step, making the usable space on the step less than a couple of inches. My daughter found it very difficult to use the step for getting up to the toilet. Discouraged, she returned to using her little potty, or asking for help to get up onto the big toilet. This behavior has carried on the nearly a year now. Now 3 1/2, my daughter is better able to climb onto the toilet using this seat, but it's still a bit difficult for her to keep her feet on the step. Bottom line: This isn't a good seat for a toilet with an elongated bowl. Other products have much larger steps that might be a better fit.
