The rubber seems like it will last a long time
I used this on my dumbbell rack. The smaller dumbbells handles would hit the metal edge. I put this on to protect the edge so the paint won't chip. The rubber seems like it will last a long time, and prevents the 'clang' when I drop the dumbbells on the rack. It went on with a little force, and it will obviously stay in place very well. It has little metal 'horseshoe' pieces in it to keep the shape, and they are designed to allow flexibility. I have photos showing the edge before and after using this, and as you can see, the edge is just under a quarter inch, and after placing the trim on, it's just under a half inch. Not sure why Amazon flipped a couple of my photos, but you should be able to figure them out.I have added a couple photos that show the bend radius, the tighter one is with the opening pointing down, and the larger radius is with the opening pointing to the inside.

ORIENTAL RUG EDGE - TUCK IN WHITE FRINGE
The white string like edge of oriental rugs can get thinner over the years through walking on it and vacuum use. We decided to give this edge a try. I was able to tuck the string off to the direction away from the application edge. I did have to pry it open to a wide mouth and used the pointy handle of narrow screw driver to open it. Take NOTE that there are different gripper edges. For some reason the first time I tried, it looked as though it was not fat enough. I think flipping it over and more muscle did the trick. This is not something for the weak. It was a royal pain. We were shocked, it actually looks like it belongs. Just try and get the tuck in EVEN with the oriental carpet pattern as once you crimp this in place, you don't even want to ever go back to correct this. No instructions.

Works great!
I used it to reinforce the edge of a sheet of coroplast which is 1/4" thick. I read another review saying it doesn't fit that but mine was a tight fit and it's not going anywhere unless I pull it off. Was a bit tricky to figure out how to cut it at first but once I figured it out (go between the tiny metal protector strips), it was pretty smooth sailing as I didn't have metal shears. Once on it doesn't slide around much so be very specific where you put it.

Great accessory for a snow pusher blade
This edging is easy to cut and apply. I put it over the 1/4 inch poly blade of a snow pusher that normally snags on everything - even glare ice - and the blunted edge now glides easily. For really rough surfaces, I cover it with a length of plastic foam insulation for 1/2 inch pipe. The edging grips the blade pretty well and keeps the foam from sliding off. Both act as sacrificial edges that can be replaced rather than wearing the pusher's blade. I even clear a 150 foot unpaved driveway this way.

This is excellent.
I took a piece of metal and expanded it a bit more for a whiskey barrel glass top. Be careful to make it uniform. Because it has a metal cap, if you make it inconsistent it's difficult to smooth it back into shape.

Good for protecting edges on more than just car doors
I used this to protect the top edge of the slide-out flange on our travel trailer. I wanted something to protect the edge from the friction of my home-made slide-out cover which was rubbing the paint off the edge of the flange. This is not the easiest to install on that edge, but it wasn't hard once I figured out how to start it. It is doing the job for which I purchased it. It should last a long time.

Easy to install
I used this trim on my dumbell rack in my garage gym. The rack edge was digging into the rubber heads on the heavier dumbbells when setting them back into the rack. The trim was very easy to install and fit snug with no issues coming off taking the dumbbells out of the rack. It is very flexible, so I believe it would be good if installing on curved surfaces.

Great for splitters
I was pleasantly surprised at how well this trim worked. It was able to easy hug and even make a clean ACUTE angle of about 75° which is nuts for most trim. Great for splitters.

Absolutely brilliant
A brilliant product. I used it on my doors and tailgate on my 4x4 .You need a hacksaw to cut to length. Easily moulded even around tight corners and unlike other similar products no glue required as the little teeth hold it securely in place. It's fare to say that it is somewhat industrial looking and it may not look right on a sports car but on a truck, 4x4, estate, van etc it looks just the job.I thoroughly recommend this product and would give 5+ star if it was an option 😁

Excellent.
Very thick and sturdy. Only when cutting it did I realise there are small metal clips like bits in the plastic that give it a good hold on the car door, just make sure you cut between them, it's alot easier.

Stop that rattle!
I recently bought a Can-Am Defender with the OEM doors. The doors are great, however, the frame is steel and when you are riding in the trails, that frame makes a a horrible rattle against the bike's frame. I thought of buying the standard soft rubber weather stripping for car doors but stumbled on this product instead. As usual, it arrived quickly. It was in a simple clear bag with a plain sticker labeling the contents. As soon as I opened it, I noticed that it felt of pretty good quality. It was very sturdy but not so stiff that you couldn't work with it. I measured out a length of it to wrap around the door frame and cut it. When trying to cut it, I noticed it was very tough to actually cut. That is because it's ribbed with steel inside to keep it strong. It was a pretty easy install overall. Once it was cut to length, I just pushed it on the frame lip. It fit like a glove and was very snug. After the install, we took it back out for a ride and it made a world of difference. That annoying rattle was finally gone! After quite a few rides now, it's still held up in place without moving a millimeter.I'm going to be buying another roll of this to put around a large piece of plexi-glass for a makeshift rear window. This should frame it out very nicely and it should have more than enough grip to stay in place. Overall, it's an excellent product.Pros:-Great price-Quality construction-Tight gripCons:-A bit tough to cut
