Love these pocket mitt hot pads! Recommended.
Purchased this set of two durable 100% cotton pocket mitt hot pads to replace old ones that we've used for years. (Unfortunately, someone didn't notice that they left the mitts on the burner then turned it on, so the mitts got a little burned. Whoopsie.) So now we have new ones that are expected to last a very long time. They are good looking, thick, very heat resistant (hands never feel hot when using them), they wash and dry well, never fade, and best of all are 100% cotton.I recommend them!

Just What I Needed
I have been on the hunt for "the prefect potholders" for quite some time now. I tried them all - "silicone" mitts both large and small, fabric oven mitts with plastic dots or stripes, stiff square fabric ones, honeycomb plastic ones - you get the picture. None of them really worked. They either left fuzz on my hands when I took them off (the fabric mitts), didn't really grip the pans (the silicone ones - they were too hard), or smushed my cookies or flopped into my pizzas (the stiff fabric squares).I had about given up.Then I came across these babies. I recognized them immediately as the very ones my mom used back in the 70's. They lasted forEVER, and washed beautifully. I saw reviews saying they were too thin, too stiff, too small...I decided to give them a go because I had just about used up all of my other options (AND they reminded me of my mom - hers were that 70's olive green color). WOW am I glad I did. I LOVE these potholders. I prefer the "mitt" type (I can use them doubled and not put my hands in the "mitt" part for extra hot items like a cast iron skillet, or slip my hands inside the mitt for not so hot things like cookie trays. They work beautifully for either situation. The one thing I did to before I used them was wash and dry them. They are so thick that they didn't dry completely on the inside the first time through the dryer (it's a brand new GE Dryer) so I turned them inside out and tossed them in again. They shrunk a bit after being dried which added to the thickness and amped up the heat protection.I am 5'2" and have smallish hands - you can see from the pictures how the mitts fit me. The third picture is of my husband's hands - he is 5'9".I love these so much that I just ordered a second pair and will probably order more for stocking stuffers.

Love these potholders!!
I absolutely love these potholders!! I already had two sets that I purchased years and years ago so was so excited when I saw them. I bought a set for each of my daughters to go in their Christmas bag…it used to be a stocking but over the years has become a bag LOL plus have purchased them as gifts for my friends who like to cook. They are soft (pliable ) which make it easy to grip onto something. I also love how thick they are and heat resistant as well. They wash up very nicely. Excellent quality and great color choices. They also keep my countertops safe when I put something hot on them. These get my vote for the best potholder!!

Good Protection
My mother had a similar version of these mitts and I absolutely loved them. I thought these were going to be the same, but they aren't as thick. They do still work well to protect your hands from heat and for gripping dishes out of the oven. They look very nice and wash well. I'm hoping they last the 20+ years that my mother's did.

Nice, heavy duty pot holders
These are super thick, heavy duty pot holders. They will protect you from getting burnt by the hottest pan! You can use them like regular pot holders, or put your hands inside and use them like gloves for a better grip. I also like to use them as a trivit for casserole dishes or ramekins when I make French Onion Soup. Ice been using them for about 6 months now and they still look brand new.I have an older set that are very similar that are over 10 years old that are still in great shape - not as bright and perfect looking, but still working for super hot dishes.

Good weight/thickness
I had a pair of these potholders in red for I don't even know how many years. At one point one of the hems started to unravel, and as I no longer mend (shame on me) I got rid of it. But I still used the other one because I really liked it and it held up well in washing. I tried other brands, at least 3 different ones, but they fell apart, the material wore off around the edges, the hoops were tiny, or they were just too lightweight or heavyweght. I am now back to these again. I like the weight and flexibility of the single layered potholders - I tried their pocket mitts but neither hubby nor I liked them because we don't use the pocket part, and they are just too thick to handle properly if you try to use them as potholders. These are big enough that if you don't think the single layer is going to cut it you can double them over, which I do on occasion. I bought another set in red (goes well with my black accented kitchen, and just ordered the 2 pair set in federal blue (on sale) to match my (Ritz) kitchen towels. Not going to bother with other brands anymore. If a hem unravels, maybe I'll try my hand at mending again. Maybe.

Easy and safe to use
I love these thick terry potholders. The new silicone ones just are not flexible enough for my needs. These are thick enough to protect and yet I can grab the edges of a glass casserole pan without getting the top edge of the potholder into the contents of the dish. Quality made and washable. Buy these!

Great find
I like these soft, pliable mitts the best because they let me get a good grip on hard-to-manage pans. Also, I can keep an edge of the mitt under the pan when I want to, for sliding the pan on top of it as I put it on the counter or table. Mitt and trivet in one. That being said, one type of hot pad will not be ideal for every purpose. A type of cupped silicone grippers are easy to keep on my oven bar and are usable for many needs and readily cleanable. The only things I think the silicone grippers are better for are the super heavy pots. I really rely on the towel-like mitts for a sure grip on pans that are less than a few inches high and these are a good quality.

Great hard to find product
Yet to see if last as long as my frayed old ones but they look great. Much handier to use than bulky silicon mitts if not as heat resistant. Very functional with a little care taken when handling hot pans. Would definitely recommend.

Buen artículo, mal tamaño
Esta muy bien, el único problema es que es demasiado grande y hay que usarlo doblado

Pretty colour and very practical.
I have used pocket potholders for years and love them. I usually find that mitts don't give me as much control removing heavy pots from the oven. Love these!
