Ideal (car) camping cot / lounger at the sturdiness / weight sweet spot
I spent quite a while shopping around for cots before getting this one. For the most part a solid cot seemed to be around this price range and the options became the trade-off between weight and quality / sturdiness. Then there is this cot, and in addition to being both a manageable weight AND plenty sturdy for anyone up to (or perhaps a bit over) 200 pounds it ALSO functions as a chaise lounge with about 4 available positions to angle the back rest. When I picked these cots and ordered some for my family I was thinking we could take these to the camp ground and use them to lounge / enjoy the day if we so choose and then they could get double duty locked into the horizontal position to sleep on.Another nice bonus when I pulled them out of the box my wife immediately said she wanted to use them out back at home too because, unlike most chaise lounges, they do not have the "straps that leave marks on your butt." And when we're camping, the elevation keeps us off the cold ground (and associated condensation!) in addition to lump-free comfort. We also all agree the width is ideal, at least if you're going to be in a sleeping bag anyway. It's obviously not in the same ballpark as airbeds (which have pros and cons both of their own), but if you could doze off on a typical couch without hanging off the long edge then the width of this cot should suit you fine. The problem with going wider is it becomes exponentially more difficult to transport and quickly dominates your tent (if it fits at all). This gets to be an issue of personal preference very quickly but after seeing some other reviews I was worried it would be unusually narrow but this is a pretty standard cot or chaise lounge width and I am quite happy with the size around 175 (5'10).Speaking of transport, I was also impressed with how small these fold up. The "foot" and "head" sections both fold parallel to (and against) the center section and then the section that might want to flip outward when carried has 2 velcro straps that secure it. This means you can easily carry the folded cot with 1 hand without fear of it transforming unexpectedly onto your foot or innocent bystanders. That said, when you want to set it up you just undo the velcro and the whole thing swings open in seconds. There are no sliding parts to bind up and "fight back" the way some camping chairs do.If you are a big & tall customer, or a backpacker, this cot is not going to be a good camping choice for you. It is a very manageable weight if you want to carry a couple between your car and your site but you will not want to try to walk around with this all day along with a tent and the rest of your kit.The only con to this item, and I don't even care that much about it, is the fabric sometimes makes a noise when you re-situate yourself on it. It's not a big deal, and I suspect it might even go away over time, but if you're the sort to be irritated by a noisy seat you might care more than I do.Hopefully this is all you need to know. Please click Yes if this is helpful, otherwise feel free to leave a comment with any questions!

Noisy and not sure of sturdiness
Ended up returning this - very noisy if you move around. The fabric is stretched thin so I am concerned it might rip in the future.

Cost efficient
Works exactly for what it is supposed to do. As comfortable as you would think a flat cot to be. The legs fold a little too easy and would collapse when we didn't want them too but can work around it. Biggest complaint is it squeaks any time you more around.

Ripped after only using it for a week!
I had mixed feelings about this cot. It's the perfect size, but it wasn't as easy to fold up and put back as the cot or the recliners as I hoped. It's really easy to get your fingers caught in between when you're trying to put it into various positions, and that hurts! Also, when it's in the bed position, there is a way to lock the top part in place (but it wobbles, it's not secure), and there is NO WAY to lock the bottom piece in the horizontal position, so sometimes the bottom ends falls down to the ground, make it a chaise lounge, when you wanted it to stay horizontal as a cot.The first time I set it up. I went over to sit on it and see how it feels as a sleeping cot, and the whole thing folded up on me! Very dangerous! I thought I had locked it properly, on the top piece, but it's easy for it to slip out and then the thing folds up on you.Nonetheless, this was the perfect size for me. So I kept it, but I'm always very careful and watch when I sit on it, when it's in cot form, as I know that it might fold up on me. I slept on it outside on our deck for a couple of nights. I used some square floor cushions that fit perfect on top for my sleeping pad and slept on top in a sleeping pad. It was OK! I liked those it folds up out of the way when not in use. My husband liked that he could use it as a chaise lounge and sit on the deck and play his guitar during the day. Also it seems to be fairly weather proof, I think you can leave it outside and a slight mist won't hurt it. I wouldn't leave it out in a torrential rainstorm as it is metal and could rust.Long story short ... after we had this outside for a week, using it every day, my husband was sitting it, and then he got up (he's only 175 pounds), and the fabric ripped! What the heck? Was it due to sun damage from being outside for a week? I don't know. But I definitely expected it be more durable than this.I like the size of the cot, so I'm going to go looking for another one that has a better design and more durable fabric, but the same size.We were out of town / busy for a couple months so we didn't have a chance to bring the cot outdoors an use it until the past week. We are beyond the returns window for amazon now. Oh well! It was a $60 experiment that didn't work out.

I would purchase again
I bought these for my pool deck. Very comfortable and sturdy. The only thing I’m not fond of is the way to prop up the top. It is not, in my opinion, an easy thing. But overall I really like these!

Not very sturdy. Loud. No give on the fabric.
Bought 2 cots for boy scout camping. 1for myself & one for my son. He sleeps fine on it, but it does hold moisture.I can’t sleep unless my head is elevated. This cot is not comfortable @ all when elevated. My back is horrible the next morning. There’s no give in the fabric so it’s very loud &, even w/a pad strapped to it, it’s terrible. The legs aren’t sturdy either. It actually has collapsed on me just standing up & while moving laying down. Even once I got the hang of the adjustments on the ‘legs’. Locking the back into place also is cumbersome. The cot weighs more than I’d like to carry & is cumbersome to do so.I don’t recommend this cot to a die hard camper looking to get a good night’s sleep.I kept it, b/c one of the boy scouts may need something @ some point, but I got to the point where now I can’t sleep on it.Shopping for another model.

Comfy while in use and compact while stored.
Purchased it to have sun bathes on my backyard. I did not want to leave it there when it is not in use so tried to find a compact and light model. This is it. When in use, it is comfy, dries fast and long enough for me (5'10").

Bought as a patio lounge chair, very good quality.
I bought this in lieu of a patio lounge chair as it was a much better price than traditional lounge chairs. The product is super durable and is built well. The tight canvass material makes it a bit tricky to sit with the back up and legs downward because I you slide a bit. In fairness, this is a cot meant for being horizontal. It is comfortable for laying flat and when I do sit upright, I use a towel and pillow under my knees to hold my position better. It folds up nicely so it takes up less space than traditional lounge chairs. My sense is this product will last a very long time due to the quality workmanship, unlike many lounge chairs that get tossed after a few years of use.

Perfect for off the grid living or for a single person in a small space
I want to convert my Dodge Caravan into a camper van, and this cot is perfect to store stuff underneath (clothes, kitchens items, games, etc), with 11" of height. It would be useful in a small kid's bedroom or as a sunchair, whatever you want to use it for. I put a patio mattress on it, and go camping.
