His hair is a very light brown/dark blonde and maybe an inch long at the top. This product did show up gray, but not something I'd consider for anything other than a clear costume. It did not completely cover, but it did a decent job. It did not smell terrible, but did have a bit of chemical like scent. IT washed out well with a couple of good scrubs in the shower.
