These are adorable! I ordered two packages, inflated them, and left them through my parents' house while they were out of town. I only wish I had been there to see their reaction when they walked in and found little penguins sitting in all their chairs.I didn't want to get the balloons if they wouldn't stand up, and I didn't have time to get them filled with helium at a party store (besides I read another review that said they spent $25 filling them... no thanks!), so here is what I did:I used a metal drinking straw to bypass the valve and then a household air pump to inflate them. The household pump wasn't strong enough to open the balloon up for air, so I gave each one a strong puff from my lungs, then did most of the filling with the pump. Once they were inflated, I unstuck their feet a little bit to give each one a flat standing surface. Then I used a bit of electrical tape to stick a coin onto each penguin's little bummy. Quarters seemed to work best because of their weight. There is a particular location that seems to be the "sweet spot"... too high and the penguin will fall over backward and too low and he'll fall over forward (that is how they like to be if you simply blow them up). They're mylar, so they will tolerate moving the tape from spot to spot if necessary. I think you might also be able to stand them up with some type of a weighted egg on their feet (maybe a plastic 2-part easter egg with something inside to add weight) - that would be cute since penguins incubate their eggs on their feet (I think). NOTE: Using my little trick will make them stand up, but it is still a precarious balance. It wouldn't work for a party with a bunch of young kids or outside where a breeze could blow them over (and away). Then again, if I had been preparing a party for kids, I would have planned ahead better... this was just a crazy idea I had with less than 24 hours to implement (who doesn't love Prime 2-day shipping, right?!)I'm attaching a picture showing the placement of the quarter as well as the welcoming committee that met my parents at the door in from their garage.

I bought these for my grand daughter’s birthday party and am so glad I did. They were easy to blow up and very durable when they were playing with them. The color and size were great. So worth the money. They floated around for days for them to play elwith

We bought a bunch of these for my daughter's birthday party. They were sooooo cute and relatively well-priced. Except that most of them could not hold the helium for very long. I re-inflated a bunch of them and still they deflated on the spot. I tried taping them with Scotch tape. Again, deflated. My hubby inflated them a third (or fourth?) time and attempted to roll up the valve and secure it with tape. Within a half hour they leaked again to the point that they were practically shriveled up.So, if you can find a way for them to retain their helium, that's great. They are very, very cute.

Easy to fill, hold up decently in terms of holding air, and children love them.

Bought these for a themed table event. Only needed 8 so the 9th became mine to bring home. They were manually blown up ilo helium inflated and the one that I have...from over a year ago...is still inflated. It has been in an non-climate controlled area so it's endured hot & cold...still looks good!

Easy to pump although pump access is located in a "weird" area on the penguin. Some do not stay inflated and none of them will sit upright unless there is tape on their behind, but even that doesn't keep them situated for very long.
