Memories are precious! Here's a fun way to keep them alive.
I've been using The Storymatic by the same producers for a while to help pump up my creative mind, so when I saw Rememory I was eager to check it out last year. I was particularly interested in Rememory because I lost my mother several years ago to Alzheimer's, and have some sadness that I didn't spend more time encouraging her to share her memories. Rememory is fun because, well, it's easy enough for everyone to participate, and because it prompts you to dig deeper to remember moments that may have been swept aside. I have since purchased several Rememory games which I have given away as gifts to family and friends, who have since purchased Rememory as gifts for their family and friends. It's been great for me to hear multiple recipients say, "I opened it immediately and started to play!" They believe as I do that memories are precious and we need to keep them alive. Rememory provides a super fun way to do that while learning about the folks around you.

A MEMORABLE GAME
I have had a sweet time with this game. I have played with friends; I have played with my 90 year old parents; and I have played with both students and faculty in the high school where I work. The 3-way prompts are amazing at excavating unpredictable memories, forgotten moments. The setup allows the storyteller to almost stumble into a memory, without drama or agenda. There is something uniquely genuine about the stories I have heard and told with this game. A group of 5 of us played in a bar one night and some of us were meeting for the first time; poignant and funny stories made for a charmed introducing to new people ... and vivid exchange of personal history.

Great product to get to know someone a bit better.
This is a fun product to pass the time with, or to get to know someone better. Basically it gives you three cards - a person, a time of year and an event and tasks you to come up with a story from your life with that scenario. This isn't a game to play with a bunch of people looking for a rowdy good time, it's more of a quiet family game to reminisce with. I only with there were a few different options on the cards as a good number repeat. Still a good product though and I'd recommend it, as long as you know what type of audience this is for.

Reconnecting with my parents
After having lived aboard the last 9 years, I’ve recently come back to New York and I’m staying with my family till my wife and I have re-settled in the States. This game has helped rekindle a sense of “family” between my parents and I, we’re just a small family, who wouldn’t normally otherwise talk about anything other than banal details of the day or a little current events or politics. We’re now “playing” Rememory every night after dinner, and I feel like it’s really bringing us closer together after all of these years. And it’s helping me, now an adult, connect with my parents in a way that I could not as a child by hearing all of their stories and interpretations of events from when they were younger.I’m really grateful for the folks who decided to put Rememory together. It’s a low effort, meaningful way to help you (re)connect with your family.

I thought this would be a big success, but not so much
The cards are awkward and dont easily lead to stories. We tried it without much success.

Unexpectedly Special Sharing
I "played" rememory with some close friends on a ski trip last month. (men and women)We used a ski helmet as our "hat/repository" for the rememories.Everyone agreed that we had fun and that we learned so much more about each other. What I loved was that each person in the group got our undivided attention for a time while they discussed their "rememory" and answered questions.Example: We learned that one of the men in our group likes listen to Vivaldi/Four Seasons when he is driving. We then downloaded and played Vivaldi for the rest of the night.

You MUST use REMEMORY!!
I have LOVED all Storymatic products and Rememory did not disappoint!!! I use it with family, friends, co-workers, and even people I’ve just met. How I use it with other people is, I draw one of each card and we kind of look at them until someone says, “I’ve got one.” Then that person says their memory. Sometimes I go first, sometimes someone else does. And sometimes one memory will make another person go, “Oh, I was thinking about one thing, but what you said reminded me about the time that…” It’s fluid and easy and I’ve heard amazing stories.Susan KingdonLong Branch, NJ

Great conversation starter.
This game sparked some great conversations at our recent dinner party. We found that you might have to alter the directions a little because sometimes one of the categories doesn't fit (e.g. A memory about What I Regret, in the Spring, dealing with Grandparents), so we decided we could share a memory using any two of the 3 categories. Still, this was fun and we learned a lot about each other.

Excellent, well-designed game and tool for generating and sharing rich stories
I really enjoy Rememory-- I've only had it a little while and mostly I've used it within the family or brought it to smaller parties as a game and conversation starter. The memories it triggers are all so rich-- funny, sad, tender--the whole spectrum. It gives real insight into people's lives and helps you to get to know one another better. People have also really responded to the whole design of it-- it helps when a game has a really good design and feel, as this does. As a community artist, I can really envision its use within other groups of adults particularly[A--- to generate starting points or content for projects, and to build shared trust and meaning within the group. I look forward to using it more and would recommend it to anyone with an interest in games, stories/memories and people!
