These Schlage lever handles were so easy to install and look much fresher than the 30 year old brass knobs they replaced. I am a not-very-handy 55-year-old woman with zero fix-it skills, but after the first couple tries, I was able to remove the old doorknob and strike plate and install one of these in under 10 minutes. It is so simple, and all the parts fit together so nicely. The only trick was switching the levers to ensure that the handle faced in the proper direction -- but once I saw how to do that by watching an installation video on youtube, it was all smooth sailing. The levers are easier to use than knobs and they look clean and contemporary. If you're thinking about replacing doorknobs, you won't go wrong with these Schlage levers. I was really amazed at how easy they were to install. Even though I had a handy man lined up to help, I ended up doing most of them myself, as it was kind of fun. If you're replacing doorknobs, don't forget hinges as well. Each set comes with levers for both sides of the doors, screws, and a matching strike plate. If you install these and find the door doesn't close quite right, it may require a tiny adjustment in the positioning of the strike plate. There are a zillion youtube videos on how to fix a door that won't close -- and the fixes are pretty simple.

These are nice looking door handles. They were easy to install and are sturdy.

Worked perfectly!! We bought levers like this 12 years ago for all our doors and now in selling the house we realized we should put a lock on one of our closets. [a tiny Allen wrench will open these] I was so happy to find them on Amazon for such a great price and then to receive the item and find it was just as good of quality as the handles we purchased 12 years ago was a bonus. I may purchase a couple more.

Was at a big top store looking for bedroom door handles and they only had one of these and I need 5. So I bought the one and went home and went online and found the same product for 20% less than the one I had bought with this vendor. So I bought and installed and they work and look great

The install says one tool installation, if you are using it as an interior lever you need a hammer to pound the latch in. But who does not have a hammer in their house these days?My former house had the similar style installed and they worked very nicely for the 6+ years we were there. We liked them so much that as we remodel and update our existing house we are installing these. Total time to install is 15 minutes for the first time but subsequent installs will take no more than 5. The first one I installed is very nice and smooth, the second has a slight catch on it but a small adjustment should take care of it. If you need to reverse the handle it is very easy by using the enclosed pin (used to unlock the door) and push it in a small hole in at the base of the handle and pull it off. Reverse and push on--30 seconds.Gave it a 4 for the time being given the little use this particular model and the one that feels notchy.Update: while installing on other doors I noted this was happening to them too. Turns out that a small adjustment of lifting the handles to sit a little higher in the door hole solved this issue on all handles; all handles move smoothly and the latch no longer catches as it is released.

These are such a high quality that you sense it the moment you take it out of the box and the moment you turn the installed handles. Easy 10-minute job with a screwdriver. Hardware included to reverse door handles, so they are universal!
